About Paul

Paul King has served as a Heidelberg Township Supervisor since 2020. As the only independent voice on the current board, Paul has consistently stood up for transparency, fiscal responsibility, and protecting the rural character of our community.

Paul is not a politician — he’s a resident, a taxpayer, and a committed public servant who believes local government should work for the people, not for insiders or special interests. He’s been the driving force behind efforts to bring accountability to township operations, demand competitive bidding for contracts, pursue grant funding, and stop unnecessary tax increases.

Commitment

Paul is known for doing the hard work — reading the budgets, scrutinizing the minutes and ordinances, and listening to residents. While others have canceled meetings, ignored public comments, and thought ways to diminsh resident input, Paul has fought for open government and meaningful citizen involvement.

He believes in small government, local control, and preserving what makes Heidelberg Township special. Paul supports limited development that fits our rural community and opposes backroom deals that benefit the few at the expense of the many.

Paul envisions a Heidelberg Township where local government is accountable to its residents and transparency is the norm.

Core values

Elected in 2020, Paul’s first accomplishment was to have the Pledge of Allegiance recited at the beginning of every official township meeting. Believe it or not, this was not being done.

Experience

With years of community service, Paul understands the challenges facing residents and is dedicated to effective governance.

Vision

Paul prioritizes fiscal responsibility to ensure that the needs of all residents are made a priority in decision-making.
